THE FOUNDING THESIS
The gap between strategy and result is not a strategy problem. Every organization has strategy. Most have too much of it. The gap is an operating model problem — the absence of a system that knows how to translate direction into disciplined, repeatable action.
Dashboards don’t fail because the data is wrong. They fail because no one in the organization has been given the authority, the routine, or the decision rights to act on what they show. A dashboard is not a decision system. It is a display. The difference matters enormously.
Decision infrastructure is the connective tissue between insight and action. It defines who decides what, on what cadence, with what inputs, and what happens when the decision is made. Without it, even excellent data becomes decoration — a signal without a receiver.
